◆The Jane Austen Society of Japan was established in 2006 and has a current membership of about one hundred. It exists for the advancement of Austen studies in Japan by promoting appreciation and study of the works of Jane Austen and her contemporary writers.

◆The Journal of the Jane Austen Society of Japan is published annually. The Society also holds an annual conference.
